Laparoscopic Gastric Banding
Laparoscopic Gastric Banding, better known as Lap-Band® surgery, places a restrictive band around the stomach through minimal incisions rather than a large cut on the abdomen. When tightened during surgery, the band creates a small pouch at the top of the stomach, which helps to limit food intake and promote an early feeling of satiety.
